Role purpose:
Ensuring the correct monthly, quarterly, bi-annually and annually statutory and Group reporting. Responsible for financial accounting in coordination with OpCo and central TowerCo.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the monthly financial reporting (including month end activities) and for the preparation of financial statements
- Ensuring that all transactions are posted correctly in accounting and to the correct cost centers.
- Maintain good relationship with SSC and also with OPCOs and TowerCo stakeholders
- Provide finance & accounting advisory both to business & SSC
- Advising on current developments and proposing improvement measures
- Performing several activities such as accruals computation, approval of payment list, balance sheet reconciliation, sox controls, CAPEX analysis, monthly depreciation postings
- Report on the effectiveness of the payables process, including measurement of KPIs
- Ensure that all external or internal audit findings are tracked and solved in the required timeline.
- Preparation of Local statistics reports
- Tax compliance – submission of VAT return, corporate income tax, withholding tax
- Management of local taxes
- Responsible for relationship with Group Tax Reporting
- Maintain relationship with local authorities and assistance during tax audit
- Analyze the tax legislation and assess its implications to Tower CO activities
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- University degree
- Min. 3 years of professional experience
- In-depth knowledge in the areas of tax, reporting and accounting
- Holistic business evaluation of projects taking commercial and technical aspects into account
- Good knowledge of the telecommunications industry and telecommunications infrastructure
- Advanced English
- ACCA certification would be a plus
- Understanding of complex issues
