MUST-HAVE SKILLS

• Experience working in a UNIX / Linux platform (HP-UX or Sun Solaris, Linux - command line syntax, text editor, etc.).
• High level of knowledge in application design, development and implementation of medium to large projects.
• Strong abilities in Web development.(PHP, Javascript, CSS, HTML); knowledge in Ajax programming (JQuery library)
• Programming/scripting experience in Shell Scripting, Regular Expressions, Web APIs, Java (J2SE/J2EE), MS .NET.
• Database Experience (Relational and Object-Oriented): Database Design, Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus)
• Experience in XML/SOAP Web Services development
• Experience in developing web application using latest Java technologies (servlets, JSP, Web Services).
• Understanding of relevant protocols for SNMP network management, TCP/IP, UDP, WEBM, QoS, MPLS.
• Experience using version control systems (SVN).

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for a wide variety of general programming activities in multiple languages
• Deals with the interface development and maintenance of existing network management and ticketing applications to ensure the provision and implementation of solutions to meet specified business requirements
• Develops programs and scripts (Shell scripts, Perl scripts, etc.) to customize computer network applications in order to optimize their use as supporting business activities
• Develops/customizes applications to interface different Business Systems using SOA Web Services
• Develops system health checks for different platforms.
• Writes regular expressions to parse log files into normalized formats.
• Elaborates high level design, low level design, unit testing reports and end-user documentation during the applications development.
• Provides second level support for applications
• Works effectively with demand management department to learn specific design requirements and performs analysis and design for various applications.
