Android Developer

We are an educational company with experience in the Romanian market. Our products are used by thousands of children, parents or professors. 

We are looking for a mobile Android developer responsible for development of applications in educational field. 

The first project will be a mobile app towards children and teachers, that is already launched in Google Play. You will add features to it.

You will have one senior Android developer as colleague for the project, and another Team Lead. You will also work closely with the Team Lead, Product Manager, UX Designers, Teachers, Web Developers during the development of the product.

We are offering a contract for 6 months, and can continue on this afterwards.

We will discuss full project budget in the interview. 

Responsibilities:

• You will improve the architecture for the app, implement features the code, in a two-man team.

• You will work closely with a team lead, backend / API developer, UX designer and a Product Manager.

•  Requirements gathering, architecture, design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance mobile applications;

•    High ownership, drive quality and maintain application stability;

•    Strong ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies in a short time;

•    Contribute as a part of our dynamic and interactive team in the development of our new Mobile Apps;

•    Collaborate closely with other developers, designers, managers and executives to define, design and ship new features;

•    Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.

Requirements:

• You have a portfolio of published apps on the store that you can present

• Proficiency of 2 years in Android development (Java or Kotlin)

• Preferably you have experience in payments via the Google Play Store

• Familiarity with platform-specific APIs and UI/UX guidelines (iOS, Android);

• Experience with APIs and website to mobile architecture

• Very useful: experience with Firebase Firestore

• Nice to have: experience in React / React Native.

We want you to start soon, by middle of October, so you should be free of a contract.
