ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The Assistant Corporate Finance Manager – HR works in partnership with the HR function to review, control and manage the delivery of budgets, provide management and financial information, manage the HR recharges process with the support of an IGT resource and analysis of global HR overheads. The job holder will support the Corporate Finance Controller - Centre in delivery of timely and accurate information.

The role is part of the Commercial Planning and Analysis (CP&A) team who are responsible for Group and Regional financial management reporting and analysis.

Reports to: Corporate Finance Controller

Reporting Level: Individual Contributor

Geographic Scope: Regional and Global

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Support the Corporate Finance Controller - Centre to engage the HR budget holders to derive the SOP forecast and uploading data into BPC (Includes UK and virtual headcount, employment cost, internal and external spend)
  • Completion of quarterly cost drivers, BAT Cash, balance sheet reconciliation for centre HR etc.
  • Support the Corporate Finance Controller - Centre To monitor actual cost against the agreed budget to ensure the functional target is delivered
  • Ensure the correct classification of central HR overheads in accordance with the Black Book
  • Preparation of accruals at half year and year-end financial reporting
  • Monitor with the support of other team members the SOX compliance metrics (GRIR, Open PO, VIM)
  • Support the central HR EAs and other stake holders with financial and other enquiries
  • Frequent catch up with IGT team to understand the progress of the HR recharges and escalations that are required to speed up the flow.
  • Monthly uploading of cost to be billed by IGT based on POs received
  • Analysis of HR overheads to understand material cost movements and obtain commentaries.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Qualified Accountant (. CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or bachelor's degree in Finance
  • Excellent inter personal skills and ability to build strong relationships with both financial and non-financial senior stakeholders
  • Excel skills should be of a high standard.
  • Fluency in English language.
  • Self-motivating, takes ownership and committed to delivering results.
  • Knowledge of SAP is essential. Power BI and BPC will be useful but not essential.
  • A keen eye to challenge and recommend process improvement.

WORKIING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal

  • CP&A team (UK & Romania), GBS Finance (IGT, AP, Treasury etc.), Functional finance teams, HR Budget holders, Executive assistants, HR business partners and others as required

External

  • End market and regional finance teams, third party vendors by exception and HR contractors / consultants
