Assistant Fabric Technologist

1.   Job overview

• To offer support to Fabric Testing Department (Romania and UK) on any issues regarding fabric testing and administrating all documents that the Fabric techs needs for his job

Administration for Fabric testing department (Romania and UK)

• Files test reports
• Files new orders
• Update fabric history database
• Fills in top sheets and files them
• Managing lining test reports (asking test reports from the mills, sending for testing, filing or uploading the lining test reports)

Administration for Fabric testing department (Romania)

• Keeping fabric swatch folder up to date
• Files test specimens from the labs and from in house testing
• Managing in house tests/due diligence testing
• Uploads reports on clients testing portals, does submission and fills the top sheet on the web site
• Ticks completed tasks in Fast React
• Fills in wash care template and files them 

Liaise with Testing Labs on a daily basis

• Preparing and sending fabrics for testing
• Making testing submission forms
• Maintaining a good working relation
• Monitoring that we receive test reports in the requested time
• Monitoring testing costs and checking testing invoices

Liaise with Design, Sales and Technical depts. on a daily basis

• Getting all the information needed from above departments in order to complete daily tasks.

Who you are:
• You have a passion for fashion, garments and textile industry. No previous experience needed, your attitude is very important
• You are able to work comfortably in a fast-changing environment
• You have a passion for efficiency, performance and continuous improvement
• You have very good analytical skills (to analyze situation quickly, to be able to summarize quickly problems and take decisions) and to search for solutions.
• You are all about sharing and collaboration with your teammates
• You are all about having a proactive approach to prevent issues from arising or recurring

Personal profile:
• MS office and good computer skills
• Spoken and written English
