Automotive Diagnostic Engineer

For our customer, a professional engineering services provider in the automotive industry, we are looking for an Automotive Diagnostic Engineer.


Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Transports or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
• An understanding of system architecture of a vehicle.
• Good knowledge about Communication Protocols used in Automotive (CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Flexray, Ethernet), Diagnosis topics of a vehicle and about diagnostic communication protocols used in electronic control units (UDS, EOBD)
• Basic knowledge about vehicle systems and functionalities, such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Stop and Start, Door Modules, Lightning, etc., Software Testing Methodologies (Functional vs. Non-Functional testing), about Software Development Life Cycle and models (V-Cycle, Waterfall, Agile).
• Understating of pseudocode and simple schema with logical gates.
• Experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance . Testing in automotive is a big plus . Also, experienced in understanding and updating of UML diagrams.
• Familiar with Software Testing Techniques and Procedures. An ISTQB certification is a plus.
• Nice to have: Worked previously with Vector tools, Product Lifecycle Management platforms, or Vehicle Diagnosis tools.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing of Test Procedures and Test Methods.
• Instrumentation of test properties as required in the test procedure.
• Study test plan details and consolidate a list of issues to be clarified.
• Testing and validation in accordance with the test plan, validation sheet, schedule and procedures.
• Alert during the test in case of unexpected results or difficulty that does not allow to finish the required tests in the validation sheet in time.
• Document the test results in the test plan template defined by the client.
• Provide Root Cause analysis and document issue with description readout, measurements, and log files.
• Finalize the test plan documentation with all required entries.
• Reviewing and distributing validation reports to the business manager.
• Provide notes and/or changes of the test procedures.
