Batch Plants Manager (Asphalt and Concrete)

Provide direction to on-site employees and assign work/batch details and follow up to ensure work is completed and orders filled in a timely manner. Look for means of improving efficiencies and quality.
Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff
Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime
Commit to plant safety procedures
Ensures the plant maintains proper stock inventories (raw materials, machinery/vehicle parts, etc.)
Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
Accurately complete plant reports and other documentation as needed.
Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
Responsible with the Request for procurement of aggregates, cement, bitumenManage the teams of operators, drivers and workers.

Bachelor's Degree of Civil/Chemical Engineering or a high education degree from a technical university
An understanding of QC/QA for the ready mix concrete industry
Working mechanical knowledge of all plant-related equipment
Knowledge of production equipment, production processes, and maintenance programs
A commitment to team concepts, a sense of ownership and urgency
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal professionally with all managers, employees, vendors, and customers
Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
Computer literacy
Ability to create accountability and to lead by exampleStrong team building, decision-making and people management skills
