BI Developer

Role Summary

Fortech is looking to add a Mid BI Developer to undertake BI software development, deployment and maintenance.

In this role, you will be involved in a project which offers custom reporting and various data manipulation solutions for an American Company. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure their database, ETL and reporting systems run effectively and securely on a daily basis.

You will be part of our team in Cluj and will connect with software engineers and leaders from our client in the US.

Your Responsibilities

• BI software development, deployment, and maintenance
• Report curation and data modeling
• Participation in data warehouse design
• Creation of tools to store data
• Creating visualizations and reports for requested projects
• ETL solutions development

Your Competencies

• Experience using Talend (or experience with other ETL tools)
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL (or other SQL)
• Experience using Jasper Reports
• Working experience with Amazon RDS, S3, Lambda, Redshift
• Experience using Jenkins
• Understanding Python code

Nice to have:

• Power BI
• Some Java coding experience
• Basic Linux knowledge
