Budgeting, reporting & controlling Economist

IDEAL CANDIDATE/ REQUIREMENTS: 

Job location is in Piatra Neamt.

• Proven working experience as a Financial/ Plant Controller;
• +5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience;
• Advanced Degree in Finance & Accounting, Business Administration;
• “CECCAR” membership is a plus;
• Solid written and verbal communication skills in English;
• Computers skills: MS Office (Excel), ERP;
• High attention to details and analytical skills;
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
• Good interpersonal skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ SPECIFIC TASKS:

Hierarchically responds to the CEO.

• Perform production accounting and cost reports by product and byline of activity;
• Prepare and analyze gross margins and contribution for all products;
• Prepare variance analysis reports for production cost;
• Work with departmental directors and appropriate personnel to prepare an annual budget;
• Analyze the variance and evolution of performance and financial actual indicators compared to the budget/ previous periods and forecast;
• Develop and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual cost;
• Examine budgets estimates for completeness, accuracy and conformance with the procedures and regulations;
• Review operating budgets to analyze trends affecting budget needs;
• Provide the financial creditworthiness analysis of the clients necessary for the important commercial decisions;
• Assist with development of new business proposals including project specifications, capital investments, pricing structures and marketing strategies;
• Provide required financial analysis for important business decisions;
• Assist management in forecasting by providing historical information;
• Audits various processes in the company to identify compliance with established work procedures/rules;
• Prepare ad-hoc reports for management.
