Job role

Allianz Product Lab (APL) is a model-based product design and specification framework that enables to design and specify insurance products in a fully digital and industrialized way by applying computer-aided-design principles to insurance product design.

Our goal is to establish a structured and globally harmonized way of specifying insurance product offers. In particular, we are aiming to reach a maximum amount of simplicity and efficiency along with a distinctive customer experience by simplifying the product landscape, reducing product legacy and harmonizing product development across Allianz Group.

In order to achieve that we are developing a Global Offer Specification Tool (GOST) -  a web-application that allows  users  to design and specify insurance product offers using harmonized and reusable product elements available in APL Product Element Library (PEL).

 

As APL Modeling expert you will be responsible for maintaining the model supporting PEL and GOST, implementing needed changes in the model and ensuring seamless migrations. There is an option to gradually increase complexity of the tasks and to support and work with the development team in the change mode.

 

Responsibilities

  • Define concepts on how to extend the model
  • Implement and test model changes
  • Write migration scripts when necessary
  • Specify potential extensions of the backend
  • Discussion with business stakeholders to clarify requirements
  • Document tasks in Jira
  • Test application
  • Creating ad hoc reports regarding model usage

Requirements

  • Good knowledge in object oriented programming/ modelling
  • Deep understanding of T-Knowledge modelling approach (to be trained)
  • Experience with Git/ GitHub
  • Experience with XML and XML processing languages (XProc and XSLT)
  • Profound understanding of insurance business and insurance products
  • Ability to think highly abstract
  • Extremely clean and focused way of working
  • Ability to work in an international and agile environment
  • Ability to communicate with business stakeholders
  • Ability to understand very specific business requirements and derive holistic, abstract requirements meaningful on a global level
