A successful candidate for the Manager position will have extensive auto dealership experience, with a proven ability to motivate staff and direct operations. The Manager is responsible for the overall performance and operations of the entire dealership. Critical responsibilities include meeting sales and client satisfaction goals, compliance with legal and contractual requirements, and staff development. Complies with and enforces compliance with Opel and VW policies.
The broad responsibilities of this position do not allow for a comprehensive listing of all tasks and assignments; the dealership Manager is required to assume a broad and proactive role in ensuring dealership processes are completed and goals met. Some essential duties include providing staff management and development to both direct and indirect reports, reviewing performance data to monitor and measure productivity and develops processes to ensure client and employee satisfaction.
Our ideal candidate will display skills in strategic planning, organizing, effective communication, ability to analyze and solve complex problems. Candidate should also practice sound judgment in a variety of circumstances with the ability to rapidly apply decisions. Experience in auto dealership management with an emphasis on sales operations is required.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Management and Sales
Leads and Directs all sales at the store level, particularly new Retail Sales Opel and VW and other brand soon.
- Provides direction and coordination for all areas of dealership operations.
- Establishes and communicates operating policies and procedures for dealership.
- Balances the demands of employees, suppliers, customers, owners, and community.
- Ensures departments maintain budgeted revenue and expense objectives.
- Maintains records, controls and requests reports from subordinates to evaluate dealership performance.
- Holds department managers accountable for established monthly and annual objectives and financial goals.
- Approves all major departmental expenditures.
- In collaboration with the Board, makes recommendations/changes to the operating plan and related budgets.
- Accountable to Board for achieving highest levels of CSI standards and all Budget measurements.
- Customer Service
- Greets customers in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Handles customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude and in a manner Opel/VW would consider acceptable.
- Producer Representative and Store liaison.
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- Sets policies, procedures and processes for dealership in conjunction and communication with ownership, in regards to existing all dealership actions
- Coaches, counsels and evaluates direct reports.
- Manages recruitment, interviewing, hiring and termination of staff.
- Conducts performance reviews on a regular basis for direct reports.
- Monthly composite review with managers
- Sets and/or approves compensation plans for dealership employees.
- Provides appropriate training for management team to have the skills to do be World Class at their position. (seminars, sales training, technical training, etc.)
- Holds management accountable for leading their people.
- Delegates responsibility to managers as needed.
- Manages conflicts between departments and individuals within the dealership and within our HR guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Seven years or more of progressive management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage all financial and management aspects of a multi million euro business.
- Demonstrated ability to hire, manage, and retain quality employees.
- Preferred knowledge and experience with sales of VW and Opel Cars and other products sold by the dealership.
- Established Sales ability and proven record of profit results.
- A plus … a Car enthusiast.
- A plus Familiarity with analytics.
- Good knowledge of the after sales and service department.
- Worked in many different position inside a dealership by now.
