Category Buyer Electronics & Instrumentation

The Category Electronics & Instrumentation is responsible for the strategic purchasing of products such as active & passive electronics parts, Displays and electro-mechanical parts used in various electronic products.

We are interested in a Buyer with senior global experience in the area of Active Components, taking the lead in this Purchasing field for Europe and being responsible for corresponding main suppliers in Electronics & Instrumentation, with the option of a global expansion of responsibility.

Our goal is to deploy a World Class Purchasing Organization to achieve a supply base competitive performance which is directed towards a total cost approach, including quality, delivery, and service objectives globally.

Your responsibilities:

•Sourcing responsible for all Business cases related to assigned sub-category and suppliers

•Develop  sub-category strategy , align globally with other regions and deploy among relevant Yazaki Business Units & Central Functions and towards suppliers

•Negotiate and agree tooling costs, component price and conditions with suppliers to achieve overall targets by leveraging category volume bundling,  material standardization's and  localization/ point of purchase/ supply base optimization initiatives
•Management of Supplier Scorecards (Terms & Conditions, Saving Achievements, Cost Recovery, RFQ Performance, General  Service Indicators, etc.) for assigned sub-categories and suppliers.  
•Lead and support benchmark studies and VAVE activities to identify cost reduction opportunities and to achieve market price levels for  new projects and current mass production
•Manage RFQ/ benchmarks, sourcing pipelines and saving projects and present in Sourcing Boards for final implementation along the Purchasing Process

•Close collaboration with Design Engineering, Advanced Purchasing and Cost Engineering

Your profile:

•Master or Bachelor degree in Business Administration combined  with technical background and skills or equivalent Master/Bachelor  degree in Commercial/Economical Engineering
•4-6 years of experience in purchasing management activities or equivalent professional record in electronics automotive industry
•Ability to analyze complex data and develop strategies to manage purchasing tasks
•condense and present complex information to key personnel in meaningful reports and compiling presentations

•Very good computer skills (. Microsoft Office);
•You effectively communicate on any level and towards suppliers

•You are a strong team player

•You are having problem solving skills and like to negotiate
•Your English skills are on a business proficiency level in speaking and writing
•Willingness to travel
