Civil Engineer / Architect as Software Tester

To strengthen our team we are hiring,

Civil Engineer / Architect as Software Tester*

for a full-time employment.

*Previous experience in software testing is not required (although welcome). Training, courses and mentoring are offered.

The company

Calcrom is a software development company, founded in Iași by the CalCon Group and has recently become a member of the Aareon Group, the leading provider of systems and consulting services for the European property industry. Calcrom has developed the software epiqr®, a specialized solution for the complete analysis of a building portfolio. A real estate portfolio worth over € 240 bln. is currently managed with this software.

With the AiBATROS software we took the features known from epiqr® to another level. The degree of flexibility and the use of the newest technologies produced a state-of-the-art instrument for optimized data management, BIM capabilities and interoperability with other systems.

Your profile

• Completed degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, drawing/modelling applications, etc.)
• Technical abilities and understanding of technical challenges
• Structured and logical way of thinking
• Very good knowledge of the English language, German is a plus
• Very good team player
• Responsible and independent working style
• Would be an advantage: knowledge in databases and SQL, experience in software testing, Selenium, HTML, knowledge of any computer programming language.

Your tasks

• Understand business requirements and question them critically in order to detect errors already in the design phase
• Transfer of technical requirements into test cases
• Execute test cases and write bug reports in a ticket system (JIRA)
• Close cooperation with the development team and with the product owner
• Test automation (Selenium)
