Civil Engineer

Tasks:

• Manage the construction project in a safe, timely and sustainable manner
• Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force
• Inspection of Contractor operations to ensure compliance with Contract
• Review and approve Contractor Payment Applications with Project Manager
• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
• Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Project Supervisor
• Monitor progress and compile reports in project status
• Prepare and submit Daily/Weekly/Monthly Reports
• Monitor progress and compile reports in project status
• Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings
• Conduct quality inspections
• Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts
• Monitor costs, including labor time and material
• Prepare and complete action plans
• Communicate and enforce ACE PM Safety and Health Management Program
• Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others

Required Knowledge & Skills: 

• Proven working experience in civil engineering
• Experience with multidisciplinary coordination
• Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products, ACAD
• Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals etc
• Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of Project Contracts, Subcontracts and Purchase Orders
• Project management and supervision skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to read drawings and specifications
• Functions effectively as part of a team
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
• Strong decision making/problem solving skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• BS/MA in Civil Engineering
• 3-5 years of industry experience
