Join the GlobalLogic team and work with us on modern IT solutions. The project concerns health and social care software and services. IT platforms provide a complete view of the individual across all care settings, helping integrate services and improve care.

Line of products include EPRs and systems for social care practitioners, immunisation and child health software, handles immunisation records for over 6m children, and delivers the national immunisation system for Covid and flu.

We offer the possibility of employment based on an employment contract or B2B. You can work with us from our offices or 100% remotely.

Requirements:

Must Have:

• Understanding of cloud architecture concepts and best practise
• Proven experience of migrating existing on-prem apps to a cloud hosted model
• A thorough understanding of Azure components. (Key areas: Service Bus topics and subscriptions; Event Hub; Azure Functions; App services)
• Solid experience of cloud database and storage technology, including: o Azure SQL o Cosmos DB o Blob and table storage
• Familiarity with patterns used to create well architected solutions
• Experience with building resilient and fault tolerant solutions
• An understanding of securing data exchange over wide area networks
• A proven track record of delivering successful projects Advantageous:

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Cloud architect to join our Architecture team.

The person we are looking for will need to have 2+ years of commercial experience with Azure, who

can demonstrate a real passion for cloud architecture and storage, with a flexible and creative

attitude, good communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Working within an existing team that is focused on creating a scalable and resilient cloud hosting

model, taking ideas from proof of concept to productization. The individual will have a workload

covering (but not limited to):

• Advising teams on improvements to cloud hosted products
• Creating solutions that fit well within the existing Azure estate and methodology
• Clean hand-over of well-understood solutions to the SRE team
• Helping product teams understand best-practise for cloud-hosted systems
• Performance analysis and tuning
• Security reviews and risk mitigation
• Building services that are resilient and scalable
• Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and advising how they can be used to
  
  

improve the existing architecture
