Role overview
Be a part of a team that’s ensuring Secureworks' product integrity and customer satisfaction. The FinOps team oversees all aspects of cloud budget and consumption and is responsible for optimization of cloud resources. You will work in a fast paced and rapidly scaling environment focused on application modernization and cloud consumption. Following the principle of the FinOps movement, engineers support each of the business units within Secureworks. Working with each business unit, the Cloud Usage Analyst brings financial accountability by guiding each team through the variable spend model of the cloud. In this exciting role, the engineer has the capability to not only be technical and hands-on operating within various cloud providers, but also requires financial acumen and great communication skills to ensure messages are well received and executed upon. The ideal candidate will have experience leading positive change, cultivating technology vision, and fostering FinOps practices and culture as part of our overall company change.

Responsibilities:
- Create metrics, reports, and recommended remediation options and plans for financial excellence in the cloud, for each business unit
- Engage regularly with Director and C-level leaders as their primary cloud financial point of contact
- Participate in the configuration, tuning, and implementation of CloudHealth and Kubecost at Secureworks
- Participate in architectural discussions to help product teams are making the most cost-efficient choices
- Participate in product, project, and application cost estimations in the cloud
- Be the champion for FinOps advocating for financial acumen and effective cloud resource management with Secureworks
- Contribute educational content, blog posts, etc. to become a community leader (CloudHealth, FinOps Org, etc.)
Requirements:
- 1-2 years’ experience as a FinOps Engineer or equivalent
- Broad knowledge of Public Cloud offerings and architecture (compute, network, storage, services)
- Experience with Public Cloud cost optimization in AWS
- Proven analytics, presentation, and communication skills
Desirable Requirements:
- Knowledge of Azure or GCP
- DevOps experience and scripting skills
- Cloud Governance and Policy
- Scum/Agile Development
- Knowledge of containers/Kubernetes
