Concept Artist (3D / Illustrations / Looks) at J&F

If you’ve been searching for your next creative challenge, we are looking to expand our Romanian team with a talented Concept Artist who loves to come up with great illustrations, looks and styles, that will fit perfectly for the story that need to be told.

Your responsibilities include:

• Able to own a project from inception to delivery

• Study the script to understand required mood and overall theme

• Crate storyboards while considering camera angles and lighting for presentations 

• Compose wireframe drawings from which the more detailed illustrations will be developed

• Complete color or monochrome storyboards in full for use by production staff

• Edit storyboards and make changes as per the request of director or production team

• Generating original visual concepts, looks and styles

What we are looking for - ESSENTIALS:

• Strong working experience as a storyboard artist on animated feature films

• Must demonstrate strong understanding of film techniques, composition, camera staging, and use of 3D space

• Strong drawing and mechanical skills that convey character emotion and action

• Strong artistic vision and storytelling sensibility

• Must be able to work digitally with the Wacom Cintiq drawing tablet and be proficient in Adobe Photoshop or XD

• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to strategize and implement a plan

• Passion for games and creating art

• Experience creating still and animated storyboards.

• Team player with strong written and verbal English communication skills

What we are looking for - DESIRABLE:

• Experience working with realistic sketch.
• Some experience in creating quick 2d animation.
