Cost Accounting Analyst

Position summary:

The Cost Accounting Analyst (Management Accounting and HQ Corporate Controlling) will report directly to the Global Business Process Owner – Finance Director (GBPO), offering continuous support for the global standardization of the SAP Controlling and Cost Accounting processes. This role will focus on SAP_CO_Template harmonization, Product Costing and Yearly Budgeting in SAP.  

Key responsibilities:

• Understand the SAP CO Controlling according to the business template;
• Corporate master data maintenance: Cost Elements, Cost Centers, Activity Types, Profit Centers (SAP Roles-HQ Controlling);
• Different re-costing activities due to possible errors that may occur;
• Daily maintenance on costing new SKU's for all SAP locations;
• Specific month-end Pricing costing runs in support for Pricing teams;
• Assisting in month-end close of the General Ledger;
• Year-end Standard Costing activities/ preparations: Round 1 / Round 2 / Round 3 - Cross Company Costing SAP;
• Forwarding HQ Costing results towards all plant locations;
• Imposing clean-up local master data/ checking towards Local sites;
• Ad-hoc requirements due to daily support offered for the plants;
• Continuous interaction and alignment with GBPO.

Ideal candidate:

• Bachelor or master’s degree in the economic field (Accounting preferably);
• At least 2 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment or in another relevant financial field;
• Understand the HQ vs Local costing relation;
• Strong SAP FI/CO skills and understanding of all ERP integration points – SAP Master data rolling Product Costing;
• Solid understanding of IT systems’ capabilities to support and improve the cost accounting processes;
• Very strong Microsoft Office Excel capabilities;
• Excellent command of English;
• Ability to work in a global, matrix environment;
• Strong analytical skills, attention to details, accuracy and ability to handle tight deadlines;
• Strong communication skills and effective relationship management skills.
