CTO (Chief Technical Officer)

We are looking for a highly skilled Chief Technology Officer. You will be communicating with employees, partners, and investors to make sure our company’s technology is being used effectively. We expect you to be familiar with a variety of business concepts and experienced technological trends.

The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen and be a strategic thinker. You should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another relevant field. We are looking for a CTO with previous experience in a leadership position, as you will be working as both our technology and business expert alongside our CEO. If you are capable of using technological trends to help us build our business strategy, and are also an excellent communicator, we would love to hear from you.

CTO Duties and Responsibilities

• Setting company technical vision and leading the company’s technological development
• Developing strategic plans and setting timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all technical services
• Identifying opportunities for new business and technical services
• Collaborating with department heads, marketing, production, and operations as an advisor of all technologies involved with the company
• Ensuring technology standards and best practices are met
• Implementing and monitoring analytics and making recommendations that align with business goals
• Supervising quality assurance processes, integration, and system tests
• Establishing software development process and set objectives for the process
• Mentoring team members
• Identifying company user’s needs
• Monitoring performance profiling tools and procedures
• Maintaining network security with IT team
• Reviewing timeframes and budgets
• Developing and implementing disaster and emergency recovery plans
• Supervising workflow of IT department
• Defining company standards for systems, equipment, and software
• Sharing technological visions, opportunities, and risks company-wide
• Studying current and new industry trends, technologies, and software development
• Studying information processing systems to evaluate the effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
• Representing the company at conferences and networking events
• Participate in the recruiting process for new team members
• Ensuring the company’s technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations

 CTO’s accreditations and studies

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; Master’s degree in information technology or a technology-related discipline preferred
• Minimum 10 years experience in a software development role, information technology role, or related field; five years in management or leadership role
• Experience with technology relative to industry; .Net, C#, SQL Server, jQuery, TypeScript, AWS, AZURE, IIS, Git, SVN, Java/C
• Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/sales goals
• Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
