Data Engineer (Python, Scala, Spark)

We are currently looking to expand our team with proficient Data Engineer (with relevant Python, Scala, Spark experience).

Our team is solving key challenges in operating ML workflows for data collection, deployments, and experimentation at scale. We finished the data strategy on an ambitious project, and now we need hands on help with building the datalake. And so, we are looking for a creative, innovative, intellectually-curious and entrepreneurial data engineer to join our team.

It is a specific industry with specific data sets, we are working on resolving entities, normalizing information (ex. contacts), merging records based on rules, performing data enrichment using various third parties, and other related things.

The entire team is remote (US/EU). We are using comm tools (slack, zoom, jira, etc), we all usually sync up in the morning/first part of the day US Pacific Time. Current work to be done is estimated at around 3+months, work is both collaborative and independent. highly flexibile hours commitment and schedule.

We think these are important:

• Experience developing and maintaining complex and scalable web applications (environment management, quality assurance, change management)
• Familiarity with product/project management techniques
• Relevant Python, Scala, Spark experience
• Experience building data pipelines
• Added value: In-memory processing / Microservices architecture / Serverless
• Strong expertise in Continuous Integration & Delivery
• PST Timezone availability for conference calls

• Being self driven, capable of research, analysis and decision making;

• Being able to work in a remote team (communication skills);

• Involvement in analyzing and improving processes;

• Ability to work independently;
