Data Quality Specialist in Technical Accounting

We are Euler Hermes and we are looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Data Quality Specialist in who will become part of our team in the EH Romania - Bucharest office and will be responsible for ensuring high level of data quality in the technical accounting by performing checks, following up on issues and implementing improvement actions.

We would be happy to welcome you in our team if you would like to have the following responsibilities:

- Check processing of files from the feeder systems in the rules engine
- Check correctness of processed feeder system files by reconciling with SAP postings
- Check data quality of financial data based on plausibility checks
- Create action plan for solving identified issues:
- Who needs to be involved? ( Accounting, Policy Administration, BCP)
- What action has to be taken for solving the issue? ( entry, reprocess batch)
- What is the root cause of the issue? (eg. feeder system, process, communication)
- What can be done for avoiding the issues in the future? (eg. training, IT improvement)
- Permanently investigate on possibilities for improving the data quality in the general ledger
- Support initiatives related to data quality improvement, posting schemes and SAP interfaces

We will be pleased to welcome you in our team, if you have/are:

- Good knowledge of the credit insurance industry and its products
- Financial Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting with minimum 3 years of experience
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Ability to interact in the regional team and with the local teams of chartered accountants
- Are curious in various areas and proactive: take notes, perform tasks
- A mixture of accounting and IT background with system knowledge
- Good understanding of batch processing from feeder systems in SAP
- Good understanding of posting schemes, validation rules (SAP preferred)
- Experienced in error handling of interface processes
- Highly motivated on error handling in the accounting environment
- Eager on having good data quality in the general ledger
