PURPOSE STATEMENT
This position will be responsible for the following actions within the Digital department:
- Define the data and identify assets within their own data domains. This ensures there isn’t conflict with other data elements;
- Create processes and procedures along with access controls to monitor adherence. This includes establishing internal policies and standards—and enforcing those policies;
- Maintain quality of the data using customer feedback, concerns, questions; internally reporting metrics; evaluating and identifying issues; and coordinating and implementing corrections regularly;
- Optimize workflows and communications;
- Monitor data usage to assist teams, share best practice trends in data use, and provide insight into how and where teams can use data to help in day-to-day decision-making;
- Ensure governance, compliance and security of the data. Data stewards are responsible for protecting the data—while providing information on potential risks and offering regulatory guidance.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for data quality and data accuracy across all group delivery initiatives;
- Responsible for data analysis, data profiling, data modelling, and data mapping capabilities;
- Responsible for reviewing and governing data queries and data manipulation processes;
- Accountable for the assessment, delivery, quality, accuracy, and tracking of any production data fixes;
- Accountable for the performance, quality, and alignment to requirements for all data query design and development;
- Responsible for defining standards and best practices for data analysis, modelling, and queries;
- Responsible for understanding end-to-end data flows and identifying data dependencies in support of delivery, release, and change management;
- Responsible for governing data access for all group's data assets;
- Responsible for solving data related issues and communicating resolutions with other solution domains;
- Create and update manual reports and BI insights to meet the needs of both users and management;
- Create database segments and filters using manual processes and combining different datasets;
- Test new developments/processes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum requirement: University Degree;
- Results-oriented, diligent, and works with a sense of urgency;
- Assertive, responsible for his/her own work (self-directed), have a strong affinity for defining work in deliverables, and be willing to commit to deadlines;
- Possesses knowledge and expertise in data modelling/management techniques/strategies;
- Team player that is comfortable under pressure;
- Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity, poise, maturity and precision both written and verbal;
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; balancing strategic alignment with technology roadmap and emerging industry trends with practical delivery;
- Advanced analytical capabilities utilizing consumer/customer data;
- Ability to manage multiple activities and work independently;
- Problem solving of daily operational activities;
- Proven track record of on time in full delivery;
- Networking skills and relationship building skills;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Willingness to learn & proactivity & resilience;
- Presentation skills;
- Fluency in English level C1 (written and spoken);
- High level MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PP, etc.);
- Experience in working with PowerBI/Alteryx will be considered a plus.
