Job Description
The Delivery Lead will act as the overall owner of the procurement program for a specific client. He/she will lead the operations, make operational decisions and facilitate changes to services and ensure alignment on client expectations with the delivery team. Delivery Lead will attend day to day operational issues, manage client relationships; act as the liaison (i.e. single point of contact) with the client. The Delivery Lead is expected to use discretion in applying best practices and procedures to resolve issues, demonstrate a broad and thorough understanding and application of technical and/or specialized concepts and knowledge in business and procurement in solving client problems.
Responsibilities include:
- Act as the point of escalation with the team and client, communicating and resolving operational issues
- Ensure the client engagement is executed successfully per contract requirements.
- Balance client requests against WNS interests
- Provide leadership and consultation on strategic projects with high importance and visibility within the client
- Meet with the client program management team on a weekly basis and lead operations discussions. Lead process improvement discussions to enhance operations.
- Strong understanding of IT based T&M and SOW based projects
- Lead and execute the IT Buy Desk process from start to finish
- Collaborate with Client Category Managers and/or SMEs on project strategy and tailor sourcing execution based on direction provided by them
- Perform in depth analysis of proposals submitted, draw conclusions, prepare comprehensive summaries, and present back to the client in a concise manner
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Conduct peer reviews for other team member’s projects and check for quality, consistency and compliance with sourcing methodology and client specific requirements
Qualifications
Graduate / Post Graduate with 7 to 10 years of experience in initiating, executing, evaluating and managing strategic sourcing activities.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Previous experience with IT recruitment and a good knowledge on technologies (platforms, SaaS market, new technology trends, market rates, market trends in technologies)
- Strong understanding of IT based T&M and SOW based projects
- Understand IT and business needs with the ability to bridge them together
- Strong consultative skills, including but not limited to change management, program management, business process improvement, sourcing methodology, eSourcing technology, RFX development and management, communications management, and marketing internal programs
- Mastery of client specific processes, terminology, political environment, systems and unique requirements by various business groups
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both internally, with client stakeholders, and the supplier community)
- Excellent project management skills including project planning, time management, multitasking, critical path definition
- A strong leader and a team player
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
