Department Manager Production & Well Engineering

You will be responsible to support the company's Upstream Group business by delivering high quality IT Production Services in regards to: Drilling and Well Engineering, Production Engineering, Hydrocarbon Accounting services by managing the IT service portfolio and activities of Production & Well Engineering  Services departments.         

Responsibilities:

• Efficient delivery of Production Engineering & Well Engineering  IT solutions to Upstream worldwide within International Operation Center (IOC) Service Line/ Production Services department, based on documented agreements with the business and Global Solutions standard
• Setting up, steering and monitoring all related development/improvement initiatives in Production & Well Engineering   Services department
• Leading and developing the Production & Well Engineering  Services department direct subordinates and systematically implement a performance driven culture, in line with IOC Upstream Application Service Line and OMV Digital Excellence strategic objectives in order to ensure and accommodate new activities, enlarge the types of IT services provided in the area covered by Production & Well Engineering Services department: Drilling and Well Engineering, Production Engineering, Hydrocarbon Accounting  services
• Fully Responsible for the services provided by Production and Well Engineering Services to OMV Upstream comunity, as following: Engineering Data Tool  - a well engineering platform starting from Drilling activities, including Well Completion, Workover and Interventions up to Abandonment,  Rig View  - system for planning of Drilling and Workover operations, Production Information Management and Monitoring System – as global system for  hydrocarbon accounting
• Is fully accountable for all provided support of the Production & Well Engineering  Services department to its national and international customers (group wide) in compliance with project standards (time, budget and quality)
• Is fully responsible for the IT services provided to OMV Upstream in regards of Production & Well Engineering  services, in compliance with Global Solutions standards (time, budget and quality)
• is fully responsible for the implementation of the departmental strategy plans and identification of  opportunities to enhance quality and value of IT services delivered by Production & Well Engineering Services Department towards OMV Upstream community within the entire portfolio of services
• Responsible for Service Management activities: configuration and release management; incident and problem management and key contact person to Upstream  Production Engineering & Well Engineering   business units and IT application and service providers to ensure a proper communication within the department and efficient coordination of projects and services

Requirements:

• Master / Diploma IT Management.  A professional lead with extensive knowledge across own discipline. Has good understanding of the business context, all interfaces and interdependencies and manages complex workflows with other disciplines.
• Having at least 5 years of leadership experience
• Extensive experience in IT with focus in Production & Well Engineering  Services Services area, working ideally with multidisciplinary teams, preferably in international environment.
• Excellent project/program management experience and service management experience
• Very good people management, leadership and maximizing profits skills (leadership, budgeting, activity coordination & controlling): ability to form motivated, well-performing teams and to identify development needs for people in the department
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interaction skills, strong decision taker and promoter of the top management decisions, excellent presentation skills
• English – advanced level written and verbal and advanced MS Office knowledge
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills to develop and set up effective organizational structures, roles and responsibilities, information flows and operationally prioritize and control on-going regular and project based activities efficiently
• Excellent conflict management, problem solving and resolution skills
• Solid understanding of the oil/gas business
