Depot Coordinator Chitila

We're looking for an individual with solid experience in coordinating  Container Depot operations. The successful individual will be fully responsible for safe, efficient, and scheduled performance on assigned depot, managing the operations of 10-15 direct reports. 



Key responsibilities:

• Ensuring rules are held for train/trucks service employees and verifies compliance with the rules by monitoring performance on a continuing basis
• Planning the operation of local activity to provide required service to customers and fulfill service requirements
• Ensuring the load and discharge is performed accurately and timely
• Maintaining good working knowledge of safety and operating rules, train operations, truck operations, hazardous materials, labor agreements and corporate policies as well and other applications
• Developing, motivating, and training employees who work in the assigned depot
• Ensuring compliance with HSSE policies & procedures
• Ensuring a cost-efficient operation more than current best practices
• Managing and executing specific operations projects, targeted at improving safety, optimizing our resources, minimizing our cost
• Ensuring that all labors in the operation are trained in best operation practices with regards to advanced operations strategies
• Closely monitoring into the Cost Control measures making sure that those measures are implemented and in line with the approved budget

Profile

•  Prior experience 1-2 years min. in a similar role in a Container Depot environment.
• Solid understanding of the container shipping industry and an ability to relate with shipping company and other associated industry partners;
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
• Minimum Level: 1-2 years’ experience;
•  An basic understanding of the technical functioning of Depot equipment (forklift, reach stacker etc.)
•  Native/proficient Romanian and a valid right to live an work in Romania
•  Prior people and operations coordination/management experience
•  Bachelors degree
• Competency with Microsoft Office applications
•  Strong interpersonal skills
• Solution-oriented mindset
•  Ability to work independently and think on one's feet, decision-making
•  Good work planning and time management skills
•  Ability to maintain a positive attitude in the work environment
