Responsibilities:
- Creates and updates the database of the plant for production tools (tube bending, welding fixtures, assembly fixtures) making available upon demand 2D and 3D drawings
- Provides support to colleagues involved in projects regarding the feasibility and optimal design for production tools
- Creates 3D/2D designs for tooling upon request for Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement activities
- Provides support to ME for machine acceptance at suppliers (for tooling perspective)
- Provides support to Quality for tooling capability studies by analyzing measurement results and proposing mechanical modifications to improve capability
- Keeps updated in CDB (Eberspaecher database) tooling information (2D and 3D models)
- Improvement of existing tooling concepts and development of simple production tooling (upon demand from Production/Maintenance/ME)
- Development of tooling set-up sheets to allow tracking of production tooling changes (mechanical adjustments)
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an automotive manufacturing environment (ideally containing robot welding and/or tube bending) represents an advantage
- Graduation of technical university related to Mechanics/Mechatronics is an advantage;
- Good knowledge of English is a must; French and/or German an advantage
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point) represents an advantage
- Ability to work in a team and to collaborate efficiently with colleagues, production people and Management is a must
- Availability/willingness to travel (up to 10% of the time) to other Eberspächer plants (Germany, Czech Republic) is a must
- Relevant experience in tool design in a CAD software (Catia, Solidworks etc.) represents a major advantage
- Ability to read technical drawings and knowledge about Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) represents a major advantage
