Developer for new defense military application

Would you like to play a key role in designing and developing the next generation of battle control software from scratch?

Then grab this opportunity! You will work with the newest technologies, including the latest version of Angular, to create a cutting-edge application for the defense industry.

Help set the technical direction for our application

You will take part in designing and developing the next generation of our SitaWare products for the mobile market using the latest technologies such as Angular 8+, Angular Material, Java, RESTful APIs, TypeScript and Gradle.

SitaWare Frontline is a touchscreen application installed on Windows tablets in military vehicles and a breakthrough in battle control software. It offers clarity, simplicity and high performance that addresses real-world command and control challenges at the frontlines.

Likewise, SitaWare Edge is an Android application which is specifically designed for the dismounted commander at the tactical edge.

Specifically, you will:

• Develop full stack SW applications
• Create and change the design based on new features
• Ensure the quality of the solution by reviewing and inspecting the design and code made by your developer colleagues

During your first months with us, you will enroll at our academy where you will learn about Systematic and our ways of working, our architecture, components, tools and more. You will be assigned a tutor and participate in training where you quickly will get to work hands-on with our code.

Join an international project team

Systematic is the largest privately owned software company in Denmark, partnering with major international companies and selling solutions to customers in 50 countries.

You will be based at our offices in the heart of Bucharest. Here, you will join our Danish and Romanian SitaWare Frontline & SitaWare Edge project team of approx. 40 colleagues. Our project is brand new, so we have a great spirit, and you will have plenty of opportunities to learn from many senior colleagues.

Depending on the COVID-19 situation, it is a possibility to spend your first 2 weeks in the Systematic HQ in Denmark, Aarhus.

Developer with Java experience

You are known for showing initiative – not waiting for others to come to you but proactively making things happen on your own. Likewise, you are not afraid to speak your mind.

While you can work independently, you collaborate well and listen to and evaluate technical improvement input from your colleagues; they know they can come to you to raise their questions and concerns.

Moreover, we imagine that you:

• Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar
• Bring at least 3 years of programming experience
• Have experience with Java and JavaScript development as well as unit test frameworks
• Bring experience with – or are interested in learning about – GIT, Gradle, TeamCity and Jira SonarQube but also Robot Framework, Bazel, Closure, etc.

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you bring experience with web technologies such as TypeScript, Angular 8 or similar, including experience with designing web applications using Angular Material for mobile, tablets or desktop environments.
