Development DevOps Engineer

Role purpose:

The project is called Malima and it's a product that allows customers to manage and monitor their fleet of SIM cards. These SIMs are special because they are usually installed in other devices to enable IoT capabilities. We have hundreds of customers and millions of SIM cards that produce new data every second. As you can imagine, scale is everything for us. The product is ongoing major technical improvements to adapt to the evergrowing customer needs. Cloud, microservices and scalability are the buzzwords that summarize our current journey.


As a DevOps Engineer you will work within an agile team, collaborating tightly with developers, architects and stake holders to ensure that the projects needs are met. You will be responsible for infrastructure design, automation, testing frameworks and developer experience. The main focus will be CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and diagnosability. The application runs in a private cloud on Kubernetes Clusters.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• Working knowledge of containers and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes or other)

• Experience in cloud-based infrastructure (fault tolerance, replication, scalability)

• Solid experience with CI/CD systems. (Jenkins, GoCD, Rundeck or others)

• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana or others)

• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)

• Proficient in a programming language (Java, Python, Go, Ruby, or others)
