DevOps Engineer

ALTEN Romania, part of the international ALTEN Group - with a unique position as a Leader in IT & Engineering Consulting, provides support for its clients’ development strategies in the fields of innovation, R&D, and IT systems since 1996. The company comprises 2 divisions specialized in its core capabilities: ENGINEERING and IT. These two divisions are: ALTEN TECHNO and ALTEN KEPLER.

A typical day might include the following:

• Design and implement Software Defined Infrastructure using cloud standards and methodologies;
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and business to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements;
• Work with tools such as Azure DevOps, and Azure Resource Management;
• Provide consultancy to clients on their journey to DevOps based on their maturity level assessment;
• Engineer solutions using Microsoft Azure services;
• Implement infrastructure, build and project automation;
• Work with new cloud technologies to define their use cases/suitability;
• Architect and implement the elastic and servers infrastructure.

To ensure success in this role, you need the following experience and skills:

• Technical University degree;
• Strong knowledge of key DevOps concepts – continuous integration and delivery;
• Practical hands-on experience on Azure using key services like VM, Azure API, VSTS, or Cloud Services;
• Understanding of Cloud concepts;
• Infrastructure Architecture – designing high availability, performant and secure solutions using Public/Private cloud;
• Ansible - deploying infrastructure;
• Kubernetes;
• Gitlab - CI/CD pipelines, YAML configuration;
• Azure - create & manage resources using Terraform;
• Tools: Jira, MATLAB/Simulink, Jfrog Architecture, Coverity, IQAN;
• Development platforms e.g. .NET, Java, JavaScript;
• Cloud platforms: e.g.: Azure, AWS;
• Experience in the automotive industry is required;
• Working within an Agile environment;
• Fluent in English.
