DevOps Engineer - REMOTE

About the project

Pentalog is searching for a DevOps Engineer eager to join a cool project with an interesting challenge, by working remotely.

The client & partner is an entertainment company based in US, with offices all around the world. They are known for having developed a tech platform providing high-quality video experiences based on the latest technology, for a passionate public: anime and manga fans across 200+ countries.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will join a team of small, highly skilled cloud engineers, eager to help on automating the platform. The goal is to migrate services to Kubernetes, a task that proves to be challenging at the moment. In this role, you will help take care of the infrastructure that deals with microservices, and you will be in direct contact with the QA and development teams.
AWS is a core component of the platform, along with another part of your daily life, which will consist in working with CICD tools and refining the software development lifecycle. New features and applications are being onboarded every day, so the team needs to find ways to optimize the platform just as frequently.

Tech stack: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, Harness, CloudFlare, Docker

Job requirements

• Previous experience with AWS infrastructure (EC2, ECS, EKS, VPC, Security Groups, Nat Gateways, RDS);
• Great experience with CloudFormation and Terraform;
• Good collaboration skills;
• Previous experience in building automation and tools using languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Ruby;
• Ability to be autonomous;
• Experience working in a Linux environment;
• Know-how in using Jenkins and CircleCI;
• Experience working with monitoring and alerting tools;
• Good communication and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain AWS structure as code, using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform;;
• Automate long-term solutions to problems rather than applying a quick fix;
• Lead cross-teams initiatives;
• Build and maintain a CI/CD pipeline, after having considered all stages of the SDLC.

Extra skills

• Experience building and maintaining a production Kubernetes cluster;
• Experience managing deployments using Harness;
• Strong software engineering background.
