DevOps Engineer

With millions of monthly active users and growing, different geographies and requirements, our DevOps engineers are facing a wide range of challenges. The ideal candidate is someone who is able to handle more things at once, who can rapidly shift focus from one area to another if needed, and, at the same time, someone who can be focused on just one massive project for months at end. This is a role with full ownership and great autonomy so you must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, to set your own goals and means to achieve them. It is also a role with great responsibility given that the production systems are tended by us (there is an on-call system in place).

Our environment is low on processes and meetings with a strong emphasis on best practices and code quality. We have loosely defined teams of people who put a high value on personal autonomy. If this sounds tempting to you and you think you are a good fit, we would love to hear from you!

Skills & Requirements

• Experience and Pragmatism
• University Degree in CS, CE or closely related
• Experience writing code professionally
• Solid experience with Linux and network infrastructure
• Solid experience with virtualisation and containerization technologies
• Experience with cloud solutions and distributed systems
• Experience in working with multiple languages, we mainly use: Python, TypeScript/Javascript, Ruby and Bourne Shell
• Solid experience with implementing and improving CI/CD processes (build & deployment pipelines)

Technology

We are running our portal on a multi cloud platform. This is a minimal list of tools we use:

• AWS, Heroku, Docker
