Direct Material Buyer

DM Buyer will be responsible for the Direct Material purchasing activity in the factories for the assigned components/services, also:
- Ensure execution and support in build up of purchasing strategies
- Ensure maximum collaboration with the Commodity and implement the action plans within the PL.
- Ensure execution of the sourcing activities and relevant information.
- Provide correct information flow from factory into commodity organization
- Give input on production needs (. volumes product mix change)
- Report on possible bottleneck at operative level ( production / tool capacity etc.)
- Ensure proper administration in the factory
- Ensure that decisions happen in the best interest of Electrolux and get executed

1. Organzational development

• Apply in the plant common methodologies established
• Keep a good relationship with the Commodity organisation and the Central Purchasing
• Maintain a professional working relationship with Quality, Operations, R&D in the Factory and PL
• Contribute to the development of Purchasing team.

2. Strategic and operational activities:

• Implement Advanced Purchasing activities linked to new projects/products
• Support and implement all relevant commodity strategies
• For each commodity work to achieve the targets and develop activities to reach and exceed them
• Drive a proper, up-to-date administration
• Participate in negotiation of beneficial contracts for Electrolux
• Interact with Quality organization
• Ensure compliance with Electrolux procedures

Minimum Qualification

• Education
  Business or technical degree (preferred at university level) or Purchasing professional qualification
• Experience required
  Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in engineering, operations, sales, supply chain
  Experience with program management.
  Experience as Team player/Team leader
• Personal Characteristics
  Stress resistant
  Result driven and action oriented.
  Good negotiating skills.
  Ability to think and operate on an operational level.
  Confidence and ability to interface with senior management, internally and externally.
• Languages
  Fluent in English, any other European language is an asset
