Position:
The EAP Telephonic Counsellor offers immediate telephonic evaluation and needs-analysis to individuals calling our service, and, when needed, provide brief, over-the-phone, counselling. The issues that could be presented during such calls vary and include (but are not limited to) parenting, relationships, workplace stress, emotional well being, individual crisis, personal development, etc.

Employing his/her knowledge and skills, the EAP Telephonic Counsellor conducts assessments, develops individualized plans and further - internally or externally - makes referrals to specialized forms of services. The position is highly integrated within a team of experts and it is a key role in supporting individuals deal with their life issues.

Position type: Part-time or Full-time / Remote or at Company Offices in Bucharest.

Main tasks:

  • Obtains client information by answering telephone calls; interviewing callers and conducting a needs analysis.
  • Determines caller eligibility to the program and informs the callers on matters related to policies, procedures.
  • Establishes with the caller a support action-plan
  • Provides on-the-spot telephonic counselling when needed
  • Refers callers to internal or external experts for additional support
  • Maintains and updates records of callers in the internal secured systems.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Psychiatry, Social Studies or equivalent
  • Master’s degree in a relevant area of Counseling, Psychology, Psychotherapy Social Work (or equivalent), or relevant equivalence of formal internship / specialization.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in counselling or equivalent
  • Formal registration with a Professional and/or Counseling Association.

Languages

  • Fluent in English and Romanian
  • Fluency in German is a plus

  • Good MS Office skills
