EHS Responsible

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Implement EHS regulation watch and develop action plan according to it.
• Implement and deploy SOGEFI safety management System. Insure with support of plant manager that management team is involved in SMS deployment.
• Implement safety, health and environmental preventive actions.  Ensures preventive actions are implemented. Check that actions developed are effective to reduce risk level.
• Support management team and supervisors on EHS topics
• Propose and implement new tools, KPI… in order to improve EHS results, and measure effectiveness of actions / tools implemented.
• Report EHS figures on monthly basis to corporate level
• Sustain up to date key documents like risk assessment, Environmental assessment.
• Coach, trains and increases safety, health and environmental awareness in the plant and contractors.
• Sustain ISEnvironment Management System and certification.
• Be part of the team in charge to manage and save energies consumed.
• Conducts audits and inspections related to EHS
• Track that management and middle management are conducting their safety duties, assess quality results of this duties (ex: inspection, interactive observation, root causes)
• Keeps good communication with the relevant government departments, update, communication and post EHS KPI to site’s management and workers.
• Prepare safety toolbox talks (2 per months) for Middle management team who have to present it to their teams
• Be responsible for investment and budget (PPE, waste recycling.....)
• Manages files of work accidents and occupational diseases, in link with other concerned services.
• Support Management team to conduct root causes investigation for any EHS incidents.
• Updates document system.
• Has authority to stop all unsafe operations for safety, health and environment.

Experience 

• Above 8 years working experience in an EHS role in a manufacturing facility;
• Must have a proven understanding of local EHS laws and regulations;
• Practical experience in implementing and improving EHS management system including programs on safety, loss prevention, hygiene, toxicology, environmental engineering and health.
• Has strong analysis, problem solving skills;
• Good communication skills;
• English fluent.
