EHS Supply Chain Coordinator
Job Description
Stay abreast of current Health & Safety regulatory requirements and technical issues, and use relevant information to implement programs, achieve compliance, and minimize risks;
Provide consultative guidance and information to the Leadership Team on HS priorities and risks, associated costs, performance, major issues, and interpretation of regulatory requirements. Keep management apprised of status, trends, and progress compared to goals;
Assure the development of annual HS compliance goals, performance targets and budget;
Coordinate a site-wide system to identify and evaluate key HS risks, and implement effective corrective actions to control them consistent with the PepsiCo risk management process;
Serve as the subject matter expert and then manage the implementation and ongoing operation of assigned HS Program Elements;
Provide, coordinate, and evaluate the effectiveness of the employee Health & Safety training and education programs, including HS training and orientation for new employees, subject matter experts, and line management;
Monitor the skills and capabilities of those who assist with (or lead) HS programs; recommend training; and provide day-to-day coaching, feedback, and functional direction;
Develop and oversee procedures to review the status and effectiveness of HS programs, and to make needed improvements;
Participate in the review of new operations, processes, and procedures (as well as proposed changes to existing operations) at the proposal and/or design phase to assure consideration of technical HS issues / hazards, to submit required permit applications, and to facilitate implementation of effective controls;
Implement initiatives to support effective injury/illness case management, return-to-work programs, and investigation and management of problem cases;
Ensure legal compliance of all occupational health and safety activities. Accompanies authorities regarding the activities of occupational health and safety during the visits, provide the required information and ensure execution of action plans when needed / if necessary
Coordinate systematic internal & external audits on the Health&Safety Management System by providing information to all involved and relevant departments and manage/follow up action plans to address control opportunities. When necessary, review the quality management system taking into account the changes and developments that occur within industry
Provide, coordinate, and evaluate the effectiveness of the employee Health Screening program at pre-employment and ongoing in order to achieve compliance to the local legislation and PepsiCo Management system.
Building the AOP and FCSTs for HS Department together with Planning Dept according to the Company’s calendar;
Coordinate the implementation of Global EHS Management (GEHSMS) system in Romanian Plants and CSL;
- University degree, preferably in Engineering;
- Professional certification in Health & Safety and Risk assessment;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational with a production site facility;
- Solid knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety regulatory requirements, concepts, and best practices;
- Able to provide Environmental Protection, Health & Safety Functional Leadership to ensure compliance to PepsiCo EHS standards and legal requirements as a minimum
- Environmental, Health & Safety Management skills required for implementation, audit and governance of legal and corporate standards plus investigation, risk assessment, legal knowledge
- Functional technical and operational knowledge of PC/Snacks, Beverages and CS& Logistics to enable pragmatic and effective solutions to be found to promote business efficiency, not restrict it.
- Good understanding of the EHS issues, regulations, and technology which impact the food and beverages processing industry;
- Excellent coaching skills;
- Language skills: Excellent level of English
- NEBOSH Diploma or other relevant post graduate qualification
- Ability to lead multiple task forces at the same time ,while designing and /or implementing new EHS processes in a flexible and interchanging environment
- Can work unsupervised and directly answer top management ad hoc requests
