Electrical Distribution System (EDS) Engineer

Involved in the concept and detail design of a variety of electrical harnesses, ranging from packaging and electrical requirements to the detailed electrical harness design and release of circuits diagrams as well as manufacturing drawings.

What you will do:
• Design and validation of low&high Voltage automotive power distribution systems
• Development of electrical & electronic interfacing circuits
• Deliver 2D drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings
• Component (wires,fuses,contactors,relays, connectors) sizing and selection with due consideration for appropriate design factors
• Design to recognised standards and best practices for safety, EMC and reliability

Job requirements:
• Relevant Engineering degree (electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering etc)
• Good communication ability combined with a sovereign appearance;
• Fluent in English; French/German language is a plus
• Travel availability to customer sites and/or other FEV locations
• Relevant experience in a similar or related position within the automotive industry
• Understanding of harness product, vehicle installation, and manufacturing constraints
