POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF WORK

We are currently looking for Event Manager to become part of our team.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

As Event Manager you’ll be accountable end to end for the overall process operation and adherence, its performance and improvements.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and communicate the overall mission, goals and objectives of the process to all stakeholders
  • Ensure consistent execution of the process by all stakeholders
  • Ensure Monitoring Baseline is maintained and updated (monitored services, parameters, thresholds etc.)
  • Observe and control overall service status in Manager of Managers and react when required
  • Escalate any issues with availability/functionality of monitoring tools which are in place
  • Initiate continues improvement of event management process
  • Ensure that all Event Management documentation is kept up-to-date
  • Verify monitoring coverage and ensure relevant monitoring baselines are applied
  • Organize regular meetings to track overall performance of the process
  • Review recommendations being an output from Event reviews and provide feedback and comments
  • Ensure Event to Incident escalation rules are followed
  • Ensure effective relationships with other processes and roles (. Capacity and Availability)
  • Ensure training/awareness sessions for all parties covered by Event Management
  • Escalate and monitor any problems and changes via the relevant tools and processes for issues relating to the Central Monitoring System (Manager of Managers) or interface with Service Management toolset and other automation tools for which Capgemini are responsible
  • Report on effectiveness of the process
  • Support implementation of any new service targeted by Event Management

 

CANDIDATE’S PROFILE

  • Understanding objectives of event management process and interlocks with other processes
  • Understanding of monitoring configuration
  • Experience in/knowledge of events trends analysis
  • Knowledge how monitoring toolset works and how it integrates to Monitor of Monitors (central monitoring toolset)
  • Understanding ServiceNow solutions supporting Event Management would be an asset
  • Well organized and able to work autonomously
  • Proactive approach
  • Able to coordinate remote teams to deliver processes and working cross functionally
  • Decision making abilities
  • Able to deal with technical teams
  • Able to facilitate and lead meetings
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and IT support models
  • Understanding of how IT processes supports business
  • Reaching conclusions and undertaking action followed by analysis and experience
  • Analytical, attentive to details and methodical approach to working
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

 

 WORK SHIFTS PATTERN:

Shifts working hours:

Monday- Friday

8:00AM - 4:00PM EST (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Central European Time)
