bbigg Application Inc is a growing Toronto, Canada based multi-disciplinary software development and business consulting organization with engineering resources in three international locations.  We are developing a unique and highly customizable SaaS application for the global recycling (de-manufacturing) market - the first of its kind for this industry.  Multiple organizations around the globe are already engaged with our client for deployment later this year.  We also have other clients operating in the technology, healthcare, and other industries. Position Overview:

We are seeking to find a senior backend developer to join our team in Romania to help develop our new enterprise-class B2B SaaS application.  This is a contract, full-time position, and you will work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of highly skilled senior developers, architects, user experience designers, and product visionaries.

While we are seeking a full-time candidate on contract, we are open to your joining our team on a part-time basis with the option to convert to a full-time role at a mutually convenient time.

Position Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the team, develop new features using Java, Spring boot & Rest API, Angular 2 and other relevant frameworks and tools
• Write clean, concise, readable code that follows common design patterns and principles while maintaining coding standards and practices
• Participate in scrum meetings and deliver features on time as a team
• Manage time and multiple, competing priorities
• Learn new technologies and report on them as needed to help challenge the architecture
• Help maintain a positive, highly collaborative, execution-focused team environment

Job Requirements:

Must Have:

• BSc in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in Java, J2EE, Spring boot, Rest API
• 2+ years of experience designing with Angular (preferably 7) and Bootstrap UI components
• Detail-oriented with a passion for writing clean, easy-to-understand, maintainable and testable code
• Good Working knowledge on Rest API, Maven, GitHub, Spring Boot and Spring Core
• Strong understanding of data structures and design patterns
• Demonstrable problem-solving skills
• Stay current with the industry trends and best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Independent (ability to work remotely), self-starter and collaborative team player

Nice to Have

• 2+ years of full-stack development experience
• Hands-on experience in AWS/GCP, Restful Web services, NoSQL (MongoDB)
• Knowledge or experience in QA testing
