Financial controller

Position Description:

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including management accounting and financial reporting; Actual/FCST/BDGT preparation and variances analysis, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. The position is in Fianancial department and subordinates to Financial Controlling Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Check all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting;
• Responsible with the correctitude and booking of all accruals in the month;
• Creates analysis and evaluation reports based on collected data;
• Suggests adjustments and revisions to collected data;
• Prepare monthly financial statements based on Management Accounting and IFRS;
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance;
• Support month-end and year-end close process;
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting;
• Attends and participates in Controlling department meetings;
• Business partner for all Company’s stakeholders;
• Support for internal and external auditors;
• Additional controlling duties as necessary.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proven working experience as a Financial Controller of the industry or market of courier services or transportation (ideally);
• 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience;
• Advanced degree in Accounting;
• Thorough knowledge of RAS and IFRS accounting principles and procedures;
• Experience with creating financial statements;
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process;
• Excellent accounting software user JDE Oracle ERP (preferred) and administration skills;
• Exhibits ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint;
• Demonstrate the ability to think both analytically and creatively;
• Communicates clearly and effectively;
• Close attention to detail;
• Manages time efficiently;
• Works well within a team.
