Firewall administrator

We are a mature team currently having 7 Network Engineers working in a virtual team distributed between Bucharest, Romania and Dussedldorf, Germany. We are supporting approximately 800 firewall clusters globally which encompass datacenter grade, headoffice and branch firewalls. The roles within the team are spread in order to efficiently cover all of the daily topics such as

Standard Appliances and VSX, Datacenter Architecture (Scalable Platforms), Store Firewalls Site-to-site VPN, Remote Access VPN, Automation.

Tasks 

• Administration (planning, configuration, installation, patching, monitoring, incident and problem management) of Checkpoint firewalls at enterprise scale  with many business critical applications running behind them 
• Setup and maintenance of site-to-site VPNs
• Maintenance and support for the Remote Access VPN infrastructure
• Setup and configuration of new DMZs based on customer requests
• Participation in the 24*7 On Call rotation of the team

• Strong hands on experience with administration of Checkpoint firewalls at enterprise scale
• Strong hands-on experience with Check Point Scalable Platforms (Maestro)
• Previous experience with a policy orchestrator (Algosec) is a plus
• Strong hand on experince with Checkpoint MDM - Multi Domain Management (Provider-1)
• Very good automation skills via scripting with Python
