Firmware Engineer

Job description:

• Develop products for our Laboratory Liquid Handling components and instruments like:
  • Micro litter pipetting modules
  • Liquid Aspirating and dispensing equipment’s (high precision pumps)
  • Laboratory diluting units
• Be part of an interdisciplinary teams
  • Software, Hardware and Mechanical Development
  • NPI to serial production
• Develop firmware for existing and future products
  • Update existing OEM components to new Laboratory instruments
  • Design the software architecture and firmware implementation
  • Developing firmware across the full stack of devices
  • Drive next generation architecture evaluation for sensors (pressure, conductivity , location )  Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Cloud
  • Implementing embedded controllers using microcontrollers
  • Development of firmware utilizing C/C++ programming       
• Create documentation for all development cycles
• Firmware maintenance for existing Hamilton products
• Support our products in the second level support phase

Professional experience & skills desired to have:

• Technical University degree (preferably Computer Science / Electronics);
• Minimum of 3 years embedded system programing experience;
• Demonstrated expertise in C/C++ Programming;
• Microcontroller programming;
• Basic understanding in electronic (uC and electrical motor drives);
• Good English skills
• Java Script, HTML and Basic SQL would be a plus;
• A good team player, creative thinking, self-responsible
