Role & Responsibilities Outline:

The Fiscal Advisor (FA) is responsible for preparing and submitting all financial and fiscal related reports, as well as supervising and verifying the accuracy, compliance and justifiability of all internal and external financial and accounting documents.

 

Main responsibilities include:

  • Check the primary accounting documents daily to ensure complaiance with the legal and fiscal requirements and fully supported by all justifying documents;
  • Ensure, together with the Contracts Administrator and cost controller, that services included in the primary accounting documents are performed in due time and are recorded in the right category;
  • Provide support in establishing fiscal treatment of accounting records;
  • Audit for the correct application of the Accounting Law and Company/Group approved practices on various accounting statements and treatments;
  • Ensure invoices recorded in the Sale & Purchase Ledger are recorded in the appropriate account categories as required by VAT rules;
  • Prepare and submit, to the competent authorities, monthly, the statements required by the legislation in force (VAT, other taxes);
  • Interface with fiscal control bodies and other local or national authorities;
  • Update and brief management team on relevant fiscal and tax current affairs and any changes to the tax and fiscal codes, including potential impact on the financial and accounting activity;
  • Participate and provide support in drafting and issuing the Local Transfer Price File for the Company and interface with the Group Master File;
  • Provide input into reports being prepared in respect of fiscal and accounting legislation as requested by Company management;
  • Provide support to the Branch Office in recording and consolidating the accounting and finance results, as well as ensuring compliance with the Romanian fiscal code for branch office reporting;
  • Participate in the internal and external audit processes by preparing or providing documentation or data required by auditors;
  • Develop and draft financial-accounting procedures;
  •  Keeps up-to-date own knowledge on fiscal and economic legislation about legislation as well as on the Company accounting information and ERP systems;

     

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance and Accounting;
  • Certified Expert Accountant;
  • Experience required: minimum 8 years, preferably in a multinational company;
  • Strong knowledge of Romanian and EU economic and fiscal legislation, as well as international practices;
  • Competent in IFRS accounting rules and regulations;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Good understanding of the internal financial reporting system;
  • English Competency at CEFR B2 level.

 

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Ability to synthetize information and complex data into reports, statistics and summaries,
  • Attention to details and good-record-keeping;
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment; 
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to internal / external stakeholders;
  • Good presentation skills;
