We like to use the best tools available to write code. This means that sometimes we have to mix between old established methods and new revolutionary ones. Currently this mean PHP, MySQL, Laravel, MailGun, Git, AWS and more.

Your Role

We’re looking for a skilled Front End developer to lead, inspire and grow alongside the development team. In this role, you will have the overview & control of our Front End architecture and Laravel framework, work with an inspirational team and implement ideas to strategically drive our front-end system to the next level.

This role comes with great options of career progression as you will be one of the first full time developers on many of our systems, in a business that has a strong customer base and huge opportunity. You will be working on multiple projects simultaneously, being it one of our in-house applications or custom systems we build for our renowned customer

Key responsibilities

• Create and update HTML/CSS/Javascript, based on business specifications (wireframes) or bugs reported

• Translate designs and style guides provided by the design team into functional user interfaces, ensuring cross browser compatibility and performance

• Ensure design and user experience quality throughout the development process to launch

• Creating front-end templates for new systems following coding standards

• Test across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices, including smartphones and tablets

• Be up-to-date and passionate about new technologies. Evaluate their potential for Opinsta to continuously drive change

Skills & Requirements

• Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript

• Good understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS

• Experience in writing responsive CSS styles using media queries

• Solid experience in working with the jQuery/JavaScript library

• Solid understanding of code versioning tools such as Git

• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)

• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling

• Familiarity with MVC and bootstrap

• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging

• Familiarity of design tools such as Photoshop

• Familiarity with PHP Frameworks, such as Laravel or other

• Independent problem-solving skills and capability to work in a team

• Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
