Frontend Developer (Marketplace, Blue Team)

Description

The Blue Team is responsible for developing and maintaining a few of the most important flows from eMag Marketplace: Offers, Campaigns, Promotions, Genius, Ads, Files Storage, Data Conversion, and Translations. They love to develop services using cool technologies such as PHP7, Golang,  Redis, Memcache, RabbitMQ, Gearman, SOLR, MongoDB, ELK Stack, JavaScript/TypeScript, VueJS, Angular, and Bootstrap.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Product team and develop frontend modules for the eMag Marketplace App
• Build reusable components, define UI standards, and introduce them to the team
• Stay in-tune with the latest technologies; proactively identify areas for improvement and propose viable solutions for the UI layer
• Collaborate with other technical team members to design, implement, quickly troubleshoot and resolve any critical issues

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience developing front-end applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• In-depth understanding of fundamental web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, CSS, AJAX, REST, and JSON
• Extensive experience with at least one of the popular UI libraries or frameworks: VueJS, ReactJs, or Angular 9+
• Experience with common front-end development tools: Babel, Webpack, NPM, YARN, SASS, LESS
• Hands-on experience of writing frontend unit tests with Jest, Mocha, or Enzyme
• Proficiency in consuming RESTful services and debugging techniques
• Good knowledge of web performance, especially DOM performance
• Good knowledge of code versioning using Git

Will be a plus:

• Exposure to web applications with backend written in PHP and templates engines such as Twig/Blade
• Experience in building reusable frontend components using VueJs or ReactJs
• A solid understanding of OOP and design patterns
• Experience of working in an agile environment and being comfortable working in a cross-functional team
