Global digital forensic analyst

The position is for a Digital Forensic Analyst with a current focus on supporting internal investigations with computer forensic analysis and methods. Digital forensic activities include gathering and analyzing digital evidence in support of ongoing investigations and interacting with investigators and/or senior company management to convey findings. Duties may require testimony or depositions in support of company litigation.  Primary customers will include Global Investigations, HR, GAO and OGC.  

Successful candidates must have a significant interest in computer forensics, and forensics background is considered a plus.  The candidate should display strong technical depth that spans PC and server hardware/software, peripherals and networks.   A solid background in modern computing technologies is required. Leadership behaviors must include solid oral and written communications skills, focus on teamwork, and a high level of personal integrity.

Position Responsibilities:

• Incident investigations including: fraud investigation, illegal software usage, misuse of computing resources and/or facilities, internal probes and intrusions
• Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, and prioritization skills combined with ability to understand what management means and complete.
• Provide consistent and repeatable methods in conducting and reporting investigations
• Understanding of local laws and regulations
• A background in one of more of the following:  Linux or Windows based Server/Client technologies; Apple technologies (Mac, iPhone, iPad, etc.).
• Demonstrate high level of independent initiative, drive for results, and analytics. 
• Chain of custody management

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in computer related field
• 1-2 years experience in a security related field
• 3 years experience in infrastructure development/operations
• Solid oral and written communications skills
• Disciplined approach utilized when completing work and adhering to procedure
• Thorough knowledge of common server and client operating systems & tools
• Thorough understanding of network and storage infrastructure
• Demonstrate high level of independent initiative, drive for results, quality methods and integrity

Nice to have:

• Awareness of computer forensics as a discipline a plus
• In depth knowledge of servers, clients, various computer peripherals, network and/or Storage technologies
• Familiar with Ford Computing Infrastructure
• CISSP, GCFA and/or GIAC credentials
• Familiar with Access Data FTK, Axiom Software, Relativity or OpenText Encase Investigator
