Objectives of the function
- Meeting/exceeding the agreed objectives for engineering and production
- Implement and maintain an efficient continuous improvement process regarding productivity, the average number of produced pieces per day, excess cost, quality level, return quota, and people development.
- Create and implement an environment and an atmosphere in which employees in production are motivated to reflect on changes for improvement and to express their ideas and options
- Manage and develop the employees in engineering and production in a way, which supports their abilities, knowledge, initiative, and involvement, and utilize that with the meaning of fulfilling the company’s objectives
- Create effective teamwork between all department leaders and the management of the company in order to run the company successfully
- Prevention of the causes of the non –quality and the waste time, in order to minimize the costs of the company
- Improvement of the training and development of the group leaders, through the identification of the weak points in training and contribution to the diminishing the gaps
- People management of direct subordinates, so they can initiate problem-solving and obtain the best results for the company
- Create teamwork between team leaders and other members of the management team
- Plan, control and supervise the fulfillment of tasks in the field of responsibility
- Communicate employees in the field of responsibility about actual objectives, tasks, cost, performance, and all-important decisions or implemented measures by management concerning the department or employees directly
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of structure and process organization in engineering and production considering the interfaces to other organizational units
- Coordinates the activity of team leaders in order to fulfill the quantitative and qualitative production objectives
