Main Responsibilities:
- Developing a sustainable HSE culture and support the plant departments in growing their HSE culture
- Ensuring the necessary support for designing, implementing and maintaining the local HSE Integrated Management System, according with Corporate policies/ objectives/ procedures and ISO, OHSAS, ISstandards
- Implementing the HSE Romanian and European legal requirements and Corporate policies, objectives and procedures at the plant level.
- Ensuring the necessary support for the implementation of the following activities at the department level: Risk assessment, Training, Machinery safety and equipment safe guarding, Contractor safety, Cranes and hoists, Ladders and scaffolding, Fall protection, Walking and working surface, Industrial hygiene, Fire prevention, Loss prevention.
- Implementing and maintaining the Behavioural Observation Program.
- Ensuring the necessary support for the requisition of the HSE specific operating pre-permits and permits (fire permit etc.)
- Coordinating the emergency response system (theoretical & practical drills/simulations, emergency response equipment inspection & maintenance, hot work permits, emergency response plan regular updates).
- Ensuring the appropriate interface with Corporate team
- Interacting with regulatory agencies to maintain the compliance with all HSE applicable standards and regulations
- Ensuring the interface with the providers of firefighting and fire detection services.
- Developing and providing data analysis and reports to the plant management and authorities when required
- Reporting and investigation of HSE incidents according with legal and Corporate requirements and track the actions closure.
- Performing hazard identification and risk assessment for the workplaces/ workstations (including ergonomics analysis)
- Validate new products from HSE standpoint by conducting specific Risk Assessment
- Documenting/ maintaining the data base for HSE Key Performance Indicators reporting (weekly, monthly, yearly etc.)
- Performing internal audits and inspections, according with legal and Corporate requirements
- Participating at the Corporate and third party audits, participating at the regulatory agencies inspections
- Ensuring the Management of Change specific process
- Member of the Health & Safety Committee, ensuring the necessary support for the employee’s representatives from each department
- Developing and implementing specific projects and best practices to reduce the risk.
- Conducting safety induction for new employees whenever required.
Needed Certifications:
- Technical University Degree (mandatory)
- Labor protection inspector according to Government decisionmandatory)
- Risk assessor according to Government decisionmandatory)
- Fire inspector certification (mandatory)
- Internal/ external auditor for OHSASmandatory)
- Internal/ external auditor for ISand for ISwould be a plus
- Nebosh certificate would be a plus
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE field, preferable in an industrial environment.
Abilities:
- Good communication skills (writing, speaking) in English, both technical and non-technical HSE information for use in everyday processes (documents writing, attending teleconferences, meetings, etc.)
- Computer and organizational skills required
- Cognitive skills: analytical and problem solving skills, as well as ability to provide a sound and reliable judgment in complex situations
- Soft skills (public speaking, able to deliver presentation)
