JOB TITLE:
Helpdesk Engineer
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Helpdesk Engineer will work in the IT department providing support to users and managers across all areas of the IT spectrum. The position will report to the IT Manager. The ideal candidate is an IT all-rounder with experience in a Windows enterprise environment. Responsibilities include providing level 1 and level 2 user support, tracking & managing the IT inventory, new hardware and software deployments, training of users on IT-related topics, managing new starters and leavers, purchasing of IT equipment, maintaining the relationship with suppliers and service providers, regular reporting and ad-hoc tasks. Limited travel may be required for specific projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- A good understanding of Windows OS, client and server
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Office 365
- Good handle on basic network concepts
- Strong communication skills and an analytical thinker
- Oriented to problem-solving & with a proactive approach
- Quick learner with self-teaching abilities
- Can work independently or as part of a team
- Minimum High-school graduate with a diploma
- English language above average – both verbal and written
- Relevant experience (paid or unpaid) in the field of IT & C
- Active experience with any of the following is preferred but not mandatory: Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Exchange, Remote Desktop Services, VMWare, Citrix, MSSQL
- The following certifications are preferred but not mandatory: CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, CCNA
