The Visibility Systems Business Group – made up of two Product Groups, Wiper Systems and Lighting Systems – designs and produces innovative technologies to ensure the best possible visibility and safety for drivers in all weather conditions, in both day and night, with optimum design and comfort.

Our Purchasing department in Valeo Giarmata (Lighting Systems Plant) is responsible for contracts negotiation with suppliers and proposes actions for reducing the costs, also, this team is verifying and validating the order in the system and they update the database of the suppliers.

You will be the interface between our plant and supplier relationship. You will ensure compliance with purchasing processes & segment strategy. You will propose and implement productivity actions for the site.

Your challenges?

• You deploy and contribute to the definition of the Group segment strategy with Group Indirect Purchasing Segment Director and ensure region needs are addressed in the strategy of the segment

• You maintain a strong relationship with region internal customers to ensure their buy-in according to the segment strategy

• You prepare and drive annual purchasing budget process:

  • You analyse effective expenses per supplier: ABPA

  • You monitor and produce analysis on key performance indicators

  • You propose, define and Implement productivity actions in collaboration with the Segment

  • You keep action plan up to date in PUMA, you ensure budgeted actions will be implemented on time and anticipate deviations, compensate by setting up new actions or anticipating existing ones

• You organize Pre-SoCo, taking into account the Strategy defined by the Group

• You validate the Purchase request created by the Process PTM, after checking the consistency with the soco and accuracy of legal term

• You support the requester to implement the supplier creation in the system

• You validate the issuer’s supplier creation request

• You improve the communication with suppliers by ensuring your activities are carried out in accordance with the development processes and you communicate all the improvements that you will have put in place so that all teams benefit from your experience.

Let's talk about you…

• You have at least 3 years experience as Indirect Purchasing Buyer

• You have strong skills in sourcing combined with a very good understanding of the process of purchasing

• You are a graduate of Bachelor’s degree: engineering or business school graduate 

• You have excellent communication level with real influence/recommendation capabilities in strategic decision

• You are oriented on results and you have good management of pressure with a strongly supplier-oriented approach

• Our environment is strongly international oriented, so you have a fluent level of English.

You have successful operational experience within an international industrial player in multi-sites and multicultural environment.
