Infrastructure Design Engineer

Job description:

You will join the Structural Engineering discipline in Arcadis Iasi office, part of the Infrastructure Business Line, where a dynamic team provides a vast array of services in designing different types of constructions. The extended experience offers us the possibility to approach different types of jobs starting from concept, continuing with the execution plans to the bill of quantities and list of reinforcement, calculations. We are involved in a wide range of project types through all stages of development.

The delivery is secured through global collaboration platforms like BIM360, which allows engineers across various offices to work together seamlessly while maintaining clear visibility for our clients. Our projects and development opportunities can fit various ambitions from 3D modeling and parametric design to Operate & Maintain digital methods.

Responsibilities:

• Providing technical solutions in structural state-of-the-art projects
• Preparation of conceptual and outline designs for bridges, tunnels and other underground level structures
• Working in an organized manner, in accordance with the ISO certified internal system (guidance provided)
• Ensure the development of the designs meets the set requirements, based on Eurocodes and other EU/International standards
• Collaborating with other departments for interdisciplinary projects, in order to deliver the optimal results for our clients
• Contribute and advise on the implementation of new techniques and methods regarding use of materials, detailing, calculation rules, design techniques, execution methods
• 3D modelling and usage of the BIM process (guidance provided)
• Detailing formwork and reinforcement plans
• Performing quality control of the project once familiarized with the internal systems
• Working in a parametric design approach, once acquainted with the methods

Requirements:

• At least Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Roads and Bridges-CFDP, CCIA, Faculty of Hydrotechnical Engineering)
• Previous professional experience of Structural Design Engineering for one of the following: Tunnels, Bridges, Wastewater Treatment plants, Locks, Dams, Retaining walls
• Experience in Infrastructure design (transportation; railway, highway; services coordination; cut/fil; substructure or superstructure)
• Solid knowledge of technical software (AutoCAD, Revit, or another CAD software)
• Able to easily conceptualize three dimensional shapes and their representation
• Good English language skills
• Great interpersonal skills (teamwork, supportive attitude, eager to learn, proactivity)
• Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines
